Technically, the Series 2 adds dual-band Wi-Fi connectivity and five seconds of pre-event recording to provide context for alerts. Users can define specific activity zones to filter out environmental noise like traffic. The unit is priced at $199.99 and requires a wired connection, a base station, and a keypad. While the device functions as a standard camera on its own, its primary "Active Guard" capabilities—which include professional monitoring and potential police dispatch—require a Pro or Pro Plus subscription, starting at $49.99 per month.
