The new interface integrates directly into Bloomberg’s FXGO electronic trading solution, supporting both vanilla and exotic options across deliverable and non-deliverable currency markets. By connecting users to a broad multi-dealer liquidity pool through a single API, the system eliminates the need for manual ticket entry, a feature previously piloted via a Python-based ticket launcher.
Bloomberg reported a 58% year-on-year increase in FX options volume since August 2025, a trend driven largely by systematic hedge funds and asset managers. According to Kat Furber, Global Head of FX Trading, the update responds to a clear demand from firms seeking to replicate the automated workflows already utilized in other asset classes. The tool now handles the full spectrum of trade requests, enabling firms to receive and execute competing dealer quotes seamlessly within their existing infrastructure.
