The transition to Equinox allows Orange to manage rating, issuance, and renewals within a unified architecture. Unlike systems where artificial intelligence is layered on as an afterthought, this platform embeds machine learning directly into underwriting and servicing. This integration enables the company to reconfigure rates, rules, and forms independently, bypassing the typical delays associated with rigid development calendars.
Don Matz, CEO of Orange Insurance Exchange, noted that the platform grants underwriters the ability to react to real-time shifts in their book of business. For agents, the process translates to cleaner submissions and reduced data entry, while members receive policy decisions significantly faster. The company plans to extend this technological foundation to its commercial lines in early 2027.
Solstice Innovations CEO Travis Pine emphasized that the deployment highlights a shift toward architecture where AI assists human decision-making rather than attempting to replace it. By automating data enrichment and prioritizing high-risk referrals, the system allows staff to focus on complex judgment calls. This launch strengthens the presence of Equinox in the Florida insurance market, where it currently supports a range of products including NFIP and private flood policies.
