The Nevada Division of Environmental Protection officially transferred the Water Pollution Control Permit and the Reclamation Permit to Blue Moon, clearing the primary regulatory hurdles for mine development. These authorizations cover the entire operational lifecycle, from initial construction to final closure, allowing the company to move forward with the restoration of the existing mill.
Following a design review with an independent engineering firm and coordination with the Nevada Division of Water Resources, the company received formal approval for its tailings storage facility construction on August 18. CEO Christian Kargl-Simard noted that the project is intended to restore domestic tungsten production, a move aimed at reducing U.S. reliance on foreign imports while generating regional employment. The company’s technical data for the project has been verified by officer Reza Ehsani, consistent with NI 43-101 standards.
