Stigg Acquires Received.ai to Automate AI Usage Billing

Stigg, a runtime infrastructure provider for AI-native enterprises, has acquired billing startup Received.ai to bridge the gap between usage-based entitlements and financial invoicing. By integrating contract management directly into its platform, Stigg aims to eliminate the manual reconciliation that often plagues companies transitioning to complex, credit-based consumption models.

Stigg Acquires Received.ai to Automate AI Usage Billing

The acquisition targets a specific friction point in modern enterprise sales: the disconnect between signed contracts and actual product usage. As SaaS firms pivot from static per-seat pricing to dynamic AI consumption, finance and engineering teams frequently struggle to align entitlements with invoicing. Historically, these processes have operated in silos, resulting in billing errors and delayed go-to-market cycles, particularly when managing custom amendments or mid-cycle changes.

Stigg’s new integrated toolset, currently in public beta, enables automated provisioning of entitlements the moment a deal closes. The platform now supports flexible billing schedules, prorations, and spreadsheet-grade formula pricing without requiring custom code. These capabilities are designed to work alongside existing financial stacks like Stripe and NetSuite rather than replacing them. Shai Betito, founder of Received.ai, has joined Stigg as VP of Engineering to oversee the rollout, with general availability scheduled to expand throughout 2026.
