Bitazza Prepares for SEC Travel Rule as Thailand Tightens Crypto Oversight

Bitazza Thailand has completed the integration of its compliance infrastructure ahead of the official deadline, opting to utilize a solution developed by the verification firm Sumsub. This system connects to a directory of over 2,100 virtual asset service providers, allowing for the secure information sharing required to meet Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing protocols. The move signals a broader push by the nation to transition its crypto sector into a mature, regulated financial environment.

Tanawat Sutuntivorakoon, CEO of Bitazza, described the upgrade as a necessary step to foster mass adoption through transparency. The initiative is supported by the Thai Digital Asset Association, which views the alignment with FATF-recommended standards as a catalyst for institutional confidence. By adopting these requirements, Bitazza aims to secure its position as a compliant broker while facilitating cross-border interoperability with global financial hubs.
