Zirkin & Schmerling Distributes 800 Backpacks in Pikesville

Eight hundred backpacks changed hands at Pikesville Middle School on August 10 as local law firm Zirkin & Schmerling Injury Lawyers hosted a major giveaway during the community's annual Back to School Fest. The event aimed to bridge resource gaps for students across eight area schools ahead of the academic term.

The festival served as a central hub for families from institutions including Bedford Elementary, Milbrook Elementary, and Pikesville High. Beyond the supply distribution, the grounds hosted a variety of public services, ranging from a Health Department vaccine clinic to information booths staffed by the Baltimore County Public Library, LifeBridge Health, and CHAI. Food trucks and family activities occupied the remainder of the campus, turning the logistical task of supply distribution into a neighborhood celebration.

Bobby Zirkin, partner at the firm, noted that the initiative reflects a long-standing commitment to the local population. For the legal team, providing these supplies is a direct way to ensure children arrive at their desks on the first day of class feeling equipped and supported. The effort underscores a broader trend of private partnerships filling essential gaps within local public education support systems.
