The board of directors at Ardagh Holdings has appointed Evercore International Partners LLP to act as financial adviser, while Kirkland & Ellis International LLP will serve as lead legal counsel for the proposed transaction. The move, disclosed in an amendment to a Schedule 13D filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, outlines a flexible framework where Ardagh could divest either a portion or the entirety of its indirect interest in the packaging business.
While the company confirmed it is preparing for a sale process, management emphasized that no definitive timeline or deadline has been established. The board remains the final arbiter for any deal, and officials noted that there is no guarantee the exploration will conclude in a transaction. Ardagh Group, which generated $9.6 billion in sales in 2025 across its global metal and glass production network, intends to withhold further comment until a formal course of action is approved.
