The financing effort was led by Mubadala Investment Company, with Woven Capital—the growth fund of Toyota—and Ion Pacific serving as co-leads. The round drew a deep bench of participants, including BlueCrest Capital Management, Sona Capital, and The Raptor Group. Existing backers, such as BlackRock, Uber, and MUFG, also joined the capital injection to support Moove’s transition toward becoming a specialized operating layer for autonomous transportation.
Moove currently maintains a footprint across 13 countries and 29 cities, managing a fleet of roughly 42,000 vehicles. The new capital is earmarked for scaling autonomous fleet ownership and expanding into fresh global markets. Stavros Panayi, chief legal officer at Moove, noted that the legal team’s ability to navigate the complexities of a multi-jurisdictional transaction was critical to finalizing the firm’s largest financing deal to date.
Legal counsel for the deal was spearheaded by Greenberg Traurig’s Chadi Salloum and Krishen Patel in Dubai, alongside Amsterdam-based shareholder Cees v. Oevelen. Since launching its Middle Eastern operations in 2023, the firm has expanded its presence across Riyadh, Dubai, and Abu Dhabi, focusing on sectors ranging from infrastructure and transportation to private equity and capital markets.
