EasyJet French Cabin Crew to Strike Over Working Conditions

The SNPC-FO union stated that the decision to strike stems from a total lack of progress in recent talks. Union representatives placed the responsibility for any resulting flight cancellations or schedule shifts squarely on the airline, citing a failure to provide serious responses to long-standing grievances.

In response, an EasyJet spokesperson maintained that the company has already presented a formal offer to address staff concerns. The airline has requested that unions cancel the strike action, noting that further negotiations are already scheduled for September. While the carrier pledged to minimize passenger impact by offering free transfers and refunds, the labor dispute adds uncertainty to operations for the London-listed airline, which is currently the subject of a £5.70 billion acquisition bid by investment firm Apollo Global Management.
