A board-certified pediatrician and certified physician executive, McCauley has built a career managing complex healthcare systems and strategic initiatives. His background includes leadership roles within physician-hospital organizations and corporate medical oversight for a major national health plan. Saint Anthony President and CEO Dorval R. Carter Jr. noted that McCauley’s expertise will be instrumental in guiding the hospital through current industry challenges.
McCauley succeeds Guy A. Medaglia, who concludes a 17-year tenure with the hospital. Medaglia is shifting his full attention to his role as president and CEO of the Chicago Southwest Development Corporation. That organization is currently spearheading the Focal Point Community Campus project, the future site for the relocated hospital. Having already served on the Focal Point Advisory Council, McCauley remains well-positioned to oversee the integration of the hospital’s current operations with its long-term expansion goals.
