Crunch Fitness to Open $5 Million Facility in Fort Walton Beach

A new 37,000-square-foot gym is set to transform the fitness landscape in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, as franchisee Fit Fusion invests $5 million into a state-of-the-art facility. Scheduled to open in early 2027, the club aims to pair high-end amenities with the brand’s signature accessible pricing model.

Located at 546 Mary Esther Cut Off NW, the site will feature the company’s latest design iteration, Crunch 3.0. This layout prioritizes a blend of modern aesthetics and functional training, housing dedicated spaces for Olympic lifting, HIIT, and recovery services like cryotherapy and red light therapy. Beyond traditional strength and cardio equipment, the location introduces two specialized concepts: the Pump Strength Training Studio and a Reform Pilates Studio. Both are designed to offer boutique-style coaching and digital guidance within a standard membership, effectively removing the high cost typically associated with specialized reformer training.

Fit Fusion, which currently operates 21 clubs, sees the Florida expansion as a strategic match for the region’s active, military-connected population. Mike Goodsell, Chief Strategy & Development Officer at Fit Fusion, emphasized that memberships will start at $9.99 per month to accommodate various budgets. In preparation for the launch, the franchise is beginning a hiring drive for fitness instructors and management staff while offering founding member promotions that include a $1 enrollment fee and complimentary gear. This development marks a significant milestone for Fit Fusion, which is concurrently planning additional sites in Idaho and Colorado as part of its goal to operate 30 clubs by 2026.
