HiTHIUM Opens World’s First Dedicated Long-Duration Energy Storage Park

Spanning 80 hectares, the Heze Base operates as an end-to-end industrial chain, handling everything from raw material processing to the final assembly of battery cells and containerized storage systems. The site is recognized as a flagship initiative for Shandong Province, designed to centralize the production of LFP battery technology. By integrating material production with system integration, HiTHIUM aims to reduce costs and accelerate the deployment of large-capacity energy solutions.

Technological advancement drives the facility’s output, specifically through its fifth-generation production lines. These systems achieve over 15 GWh in single-line capacity, utilizing an automation rate exceeding 95%. Compared to prior manufacturing methods, the plant reports a 58% reduction in human labor and a 50% decrease in required floor space per GWh. Wang Pengcheng, CEO of HiTHIUM, emphasized that this infrastructure will act as a core engine for an entire ecosystem of upstream and downstream partners, positioning the company to scale thousand-ampere-hour product delivery for global markets.
