Knott's Berry Farm Integrates FuelRod Swappable Power Kiosks

Guests at Knott's Berry Farm now have access to a network of self-service portable power kiosks, aiming to eliminate downtime caused by drained smartphone batteries. The partnership introduces high-capacity charging options to the Southern California theme park, allowing visitors to swap depleted units for fresh ones without needing to find a wall outlet.

The installation of Gen. 2 kiosks across the park supports the heavy reliance on mobile devices for digital ticketing, park navigation, and mobile ordering. By deploying the new USB-C FuelRod and the 10,000mAh Wireless MAX10, the company provides a solution for visitors whose devices struggle to keep pace with a full day of activity.

Unlike standard power banks that require stationary charging, the Swap & Go program functions on a continuous exchange model. Joe Yeagley, Chief Operating Officer of FuelRod, noted that the initiative reflects a shift in prioritizing guest convenience, ensuring that visitors remain mobile rather than tethered to charging stations. These new kiosks are equipped with modern touchscreens and support contactless payment methods like Apple Pay and Google Pay, further integrating the service into the park’s existing infrastructure.
