Founded in 2020, That's The One replaces fragmented spreadsheets and disparate communication channels with a unified workspace. The platform manages guest lists, vendor coordination, floor plans, and timelines for events across more than 40 countries. By centralizing these tasks, the company aims to reduce the administrative burden on planning teams while providing a consistent interface for clients and venues.
Rohit Mittal and Priyank Singh, the founders of Helium Ventures, identified the platform’s ability to solve persistent information-syncing issues as a primary driver for the acquisition. The software integrates AI-driven features, such as converting run-of-show files into structured timelines and transcribing meeting summaries, to further automate planning logistics. The platform also includes guest management tools that track live booking rates across more than 1.7 million properties.
Following the acquisition, That's The One will operate alongside Maroo to consolidate Helium’s footprint in the events industry. Kat, the founder of That's The One, noted that the partnership aligns with a broader goal of increasing connectivity within the planning sector. Previous backing for the platform included investment firms Playfair and VentureFriends, alongside notable angel investors such as Colin Cowie.
