The rebrand does not signal a shift in ownership, staffing, or daily operations, as the dealership has been under Group 1’s control since November 2021. General Manager Dave Blanchard, a 22-year veteran of the 857 Portland Road location, emphasized that the transition is focused on providing customers with a more consistent experience across the company’s U.S. footprint.

By adopting the Group 1 name, the dealership aims to better leverage the resources and operational standards of the international retailer while preserving its deep-rooted community ties. The facility continues to serve Saco, Old Orchard Beach, and the greater Portland area with its established team, maintaining ongoing partnerships with local organizations like the Saco Food Pantry and MaineHealth.
