Clear Channel Outdoor Reports Q2 Growth Ahead of Pending Merger

Clear Channel Outdoor Holdings reported second-quarter revenue of $438 million, an 8.7% increase compared to 2025, as the company nears its acquisition by an investor consortium led by Mubadala Capital. The deal, valued at $2.43 per share, is expected to close by the end of the third quarter.

Clear Channel Outdoor Reports Q2 Growth Ahead of Pending Merger

The company’s performance was bolstered by rising demand in its America and Airports segments, driven largely by advertising activity surrounding the 2026 FIFA World Cup and strong growth in the San Francisco/Bay Area. Digital billboard revenue in the U.S. climbed 7.2% to $122 million, while digital advertising in airports surged 15.6% to $73.4 million. Despite the revenue gains, Clear Channel posted a consolidated net loss of $4.96 million for the quarter, influenced by transaction costs related to the pending merger.

In preparation for the transition, Clear Channel has opted not to provide financial guidance or host a public earnings call. The company also finalized the sale of its Spanish business on August 4 for approximately $132.3 million, with plans to use the proceeds to reduce outstanding debt. As of June 30, 2026, the company operated more than 64,500 displays across 83 U.S. markets. Following the expected completion of the merger, Clear Channel’s common stock will be delisted from public trading.
