Basware Adds Compliance Tools to SAP Store to Streamline Global Invoicing

Finance leaders are increasingly forced to balance ERP modernization with a shifting web of international tax mandates. Basware is addressing this by expanding its compliance suite on the SAP Store, allowing businesses to integrate e-invoicing and tax validation directly into their cloud-based accounting workflows.

The expansion follows a threefold increase in demand from SAP users seeking to complement their existing infrastructure. By leveraging a certified connector, the company allows firms to embed invoice validation within their current systems rather than relying on custom integrations. This approach aims to reduce the risk of tax-related fines, which currently impact over a third of organizations according to internal research.

Scaling Compliance Across Borders

With mandates evolving across 190 countries, the platform provides automated defense mechanisms, such as Basware Guardian, to stop fraud and duplicate submissions before they reach the approval stage. The solution has already seen successful implementation in France ahead of upcoming regulatory deadlines, and the company is currently preparing to support new requirements in Germany.

Major enterprises like ENGIE and Mauser Packaging Solutions have already adopted this model to manage high-volume invoice processing. By offloading complex compliance tasks to a specialized provider, these organizations avoid the maintenance burden of building bespoke configurations within their ERP, ensuring that tax adherence remains constant even as operations scale internationally.
