Catheren Gill Elevated to Vice President at NIBS

Gill brings a background in complex engineering and military construction to the Washington-based institute. During her tenure with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, she oversaw annual portfolios reaching $1 billion, including extensive work across Japan and Micronesia. Her transition to the vice presidency follows her successful tenure as Program Director for the Sentinel Infrastructure Design Criteria project, where she managed alignment between federal objectives and practical field execution.

In her new capacity, Gill will bridge the gap between public-sector stakeholders and private industry to address national infrastructure challenges. George Guszcza, President and CEO of NIBS, noted that her ability to synthesize diverse team perspectives and navigate rigorous regulatory environments will be central to the institute's future growth. A licensed Professional Engineer and graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology, Gill will now focus on scaling the institute's impact regarding sustainability, resilience, and the modernization of building standards.
