The Ocean Club to Unveil Renovated Hartford Wing in October

The Ocean Club, A Four Seasons Resort, will debut a top-to-bottom redesign of its historic Hartford Wing this October. The project transforms 24 guestrooms and two suites, blending the property's 1962 architectural heritage with a light, contemporary aesthetic inspired by the natural colors of the Bahamian shoreline and Atlantic waters.

General Manager John Conway noted that the Hartford Wing remains a cornerstone of the resort, valued for its proximity to the main lobby and the unique terrace access provided to families on the ground floor. To execute the vision, the resort tapped Palm Beach-based designer Joanna Kerr, who replaced dark wood paneling with blue linen-inspired wallcoverings and introduced custom marine-themed artwork. The renovation incorporates stone flooring reminiscent of sand and shell, alongside furniture finishes ranging from rich chocolate tones to warm greige oak.

Beyond the aesthetic updates, the project integrates subtle nods to the resort's legacy through basketweave motifs and vintage-inspired travel trunks. These rooms will be available for booking starting October 8, 2026, following the resort's seasonal closure. The update coincides with a broader push to modernize recreational facilities, including the recent addition of illuminated padel courts and continued wellness programming led by expert Nora Tobin.
