The partnership leverages Galaxy’s technical expertise in blockchain networks to enhance BNY’s existing Digital Asset Custody platform. By embedding staking directly into the servicing model, BNY intends to provide clients with a streamlined workflow that includes fund accounting, tax reporting, and integrated custody oversight. Galaxy will also serve as a design partner for the future evolution of BNY’s platform infrastructure.
Carolyn Weinberg, Chief Product and Innovation Officer at BNY, emphasized that clients are demanding more than basic asset storage, seeking a comprehensive model built on traditional financial governance. Steve Kurz, Global Co-Head of Digital Assets at Galaxy, noted that the initiative is designed to provide the world’s largest institutions with a secure, programmable framework for digital asset participation. The offering remains subject to standard regulatory assessments.
