Global co-heads of technology investment banking, Pankaj Goel and Mark Keene, confirmed the appointment in an internal memorandum. They characterized the technology services sector as a highly strategic focus area, positioning Sen’s arrival as a critical step in their broader efforts to compete with top-tier rivals for high-value advisory mandates.
Based in New York, Sen will report directly to Goel and Keene. His transition follows a hiring spree by the bank throughout July, which saw the firm add five managing directors from competitors including JPMorgan Chase and UBS. These recruits, alongside the recent appointment of former o9 Solutions CFO Anand Govind, underscore Citi’s aggressive strategy to bolster its presence in the technology sector under the leadership of Goel, who joined the firm last year.
