Assail and Qanapi Ink $4.125 Million Cybersecurity Deal

Under the terms of the agreement, Qanapi will deploy Assail’s Reaper platform within its own FedRAMP High and DoD IL4-aligned cloud environment. By running the autonomous red teaming software inside its own authorization boundary, Qanapi ensures that sensitive threat intelligence and AI-generated data remain isolated. The system will automate Security Technical Implementation Guide assessments and manage the filing of Plans of Action and Milestones, effectively validating security reports through continuous testing and patch generation.

Simultaneously, Assail is integrating Qanapi’s Karst platform—including the Gorge, Echo, Fathom, and SafeShare modules—into its own infrastructure. This move utilizes FIPS 140-3 validated cryptographic modules to shield Assail’s platforms against future quantum-based threats. According to Melissa Knight, Assail’s Chief Revenue Officer, the integration holds the company to the same rigorous federal standards required by its government clients. The initiative aligns with Executive Order 14412 and OMB Memorandum M-26-15, which mandate proactive preparation against advanced cryptographic attacks. Martin Rieger, Qanapi’s Chief Solutions Officer, noted that the deployment allows for continuous security validation without the risk of sensitive data leaving the protected environment.
