The commitment falls under the bank’s American Dream Initiative, a broader strategy designed to stimulate local economic growth through expanded small-business lending and increased access to healthcare services. To achieve these housing goals, the firm intends to grow its mortgage lending volume by more than 40 percent, with a specific target of financing homes for over 500,000 customers.
Michelle Herrick, head of commercial real estate at JPMorgan, noted that a resilient housing market remains a fundamental driver for broader economic opportunity.
