Cetera Taps Industry Veterans to Lead RIA and Investor Divisions

Chaplin assumes the role of Community Leader for Cetera Investors, bringing two decades of wealth management experience to the firm. His background includes a tenure as Regional Vice President at Primerica, where he managed a multi-state operation supporting over 250 advisors. A graduate of the United States Naval Academy and a former Marine Corps officer, Chaplin will focus on expanding the firm’s supported independence model while fostering business growth for high-net-worth practices.

Sean Marrin takes the helm of the RIA Network, leveraging over 30 years in financial services. Previously a Division Director for RIA & Custody Services at Raymond James, Marrin also held key development roles at Schwab Institutional and LPL Financial. His new mandate centers on scaling the RIA Network by providing independent firms with the flexible tools and resources necessary for long-term practice management. Both leaders are tasked with strengthening advisor retention and refining the firm’s value proposition in a competitive wealth management landscape.
