Kennesaw State Graduate Launches Spray-Net Franchise in East Cobb

While most of his Kennesaw State University peers are entering corporate roles, 23-year-old finance graduate Ashton Turner is launching his own business. This August, Turner introduces Spray-Net to East Cobb, bringing proprietary industrial-grade coating technology to local homeowners as a durable, cost-effective alternative to complete exterior or cabinet replacement.

The new venture targets the $400 billion home improvement market by applying factory-quality finishes to siding, brick, stucco, and cabinetry. Turner, who spent months vetting business models, identified the franchise for its data-driven approach and potential for long-term growth. The service promises to bridge the gap between traditional painting and expensive renovations, utilizing weather-adjustable coatings that often allow for project completion within a single day.

Spray-Net founder and CEO Carmelo Marsala, who holds four patents for the company’s chemistry and application processes, praised Turner’s decision to pursue entrepreneurship shortly after graduation. Beyond his professional goals, Turner intends to integrate the franchise into the local economy by engaging with business organizations and supporting community initiatives, including his mother’s charity, Backpack Buddies. The East Cobb location will offer a 15-year no-peel warranty, positioning the startup against conventional painting services that frequently struggle with longevity and durability.
