The selection process prioritized candidates who articulated a clear vision for community impact through personal essays on leadership and growth. Recipients can apply the funds toward tuition, housing, and essential academic expenses. For the organization, the grants represent a continuation of a 130-year mission to foster purpose-driven education.

Graci Tubbs, a scholarship winner currently studying at Florida Atlantic University, noted that the initiative highlights the necessity of empathy in leadership. Amy Jones, Senior Director of Social Impact, emphasized that the investment serves to amplify the future contributions of these students, while CEO Zarifa Reynolds stated that supporting the next generation remains central to the organization's identity. The list of recipients spans 18 states, including students such as Colton Ashley of Iowa, Skylar Greene of Illinois, and Noah Martin of Colorado, the latter of whom represents a fourth-generation member of the organization.
