Co-founders Sam Alaimo, Rob Huberty, and Dustin Brooks, who helped establish the firm in 2018, are stepping back from their operational duties. Their departure from daily management marks a pivot for the business, which has rapidly diversified its portfolio throughout 2026. The company, originally built by Navy SEALs and technologists, now integrates knife detection, 3D mapping, and real-time threat geolocation into its core platform.
To manage this expansion, Chief Product Officer Tim Sulzer will assume oversight of company operations. Meanwhile, VP of Sales JT Wilkins will take on a broader mandate encompassing marketing, customer success, and sales strategy. CEO Mike Lahiff, who remains at the helm, described the move as a natural evolution for a firm that has moved beyond its origins in firearm detection to secure a global footprint across the US, Mexico, the Caribbean, and India. The company currently holds a U.S. Department of Homeland Security SAFETY Act Designation, reflecting its growth from a niche startup into a recognized provider of anti-terrorism security solutions.
