The initiative replaces standard poolside lounging with curated social hubs designed to evoke Southern hospitality. On the resort’s Gulf Lawn, guests will find the Draper James by POLYWOOD Savannah collection—featuring rocking chairs and deep seating sets—alongside a dedicated food and beverage service offering regional bites and cocktails. The programming extends to the SpaTerre Veranda, which features floral accents and citrus-infused wellness treatments inspired by the Tea Forté x Draper James "Lemon Sunshine" collection.
Beyond the aesthetic redesign, the partnership serves as a high-traffic showcase for POLYWOOD’s proprietary all-weather lumber. Scott Miller, SVP of Commercial & Hospitality Sales at POLYWOOD, noted that the furniture is engineered to withstand the resort's coastal climate, including intense sun and rain, while maintaining the brand's aesthetic standards. To anchor the experience, a pop-up shop will remain on-site throughout the three-month activation, allowing visitors to purchase items from the curated Draper James collection. According to Marina Serret, Area Director of Sales and Marketing at LaPlaya, the goal is to provide guests with intentional spaces for connection rather than mere seating areas.
