Barry Minkow Launches Fraud News Network With AI Risk Scoring

Fraud investigator Barry Minkow has unveiled the Fraud News Network (FNN), a platform designed to identify investment risks before capital changes hands. By integrating real-time market reporting with an agentic AI tool, the service aims to provide retail investors with immediate red-flag analysis on private offering documents.

The core of the platform is an AI-driven "First Look" tool built on Genspark technology. Users can upload pitch decks, private placement memorandums, or offering summaries to receive a risk score from 1 to 10. The system specifically targets debt funds, multifamily real estate, and self-storage offerings, flagging common indicators of trouble such as unsupported valuations, pressure tactics, and promises of guaranteed returns. The AI methodology draws from patterns identified in 13 major fraudulent schemes previously dismantled by regulators.

Beyond automated screening, FNN serves as a centralized hub for aggregated fraud reporting from wire services and regulatory bodies. The platform also hosts Minkow's original investigative work, which is now syndicated globally via Newstex. Since 2018, Minkow has been involved in identifying over $1.5 billion in fraudulent investment schemes, often working alongside federal and state authorities to halt operations before further losses occur. While the platform offers these diagnostic tools for free, Minkow emphasizes that the AI output is an informational opinion rather than legal or professional investment advice. The service is intended to act as a preliminary screening layer, encouraging users to consult forensic accountants or legal counsel if the AI identifies significant structural issues.
