VIO Med Spa Debuts Hospitality-Inspired Design for National Expansion

Moving away from the sterile, clinical aesthetic typical of the industry, VIO Med Spa has launched a boutique-style interior concept in Zionsville, Indiana. The redesign replaces cold, functional spaces with warm, residential textures and natural materials, signaling a shift in how the franchise approaches its national growth strategy.

Developed in collaboration with interior designer and franchise owner Rachel Hasan, the new prototype prioritizes a guest experience modeled after luxury hotels. The space utilizes layered lighting, wood finishes, and architectural feature walls to foster a calming environment. Beyond the visual shift, the company has overhauled its development model to improve long-term scalability. By shrinking the average store footprint by 500 to 1,000 square feet, the brand aims to lower occupancy costs and streamline site selection for future franchisees.

CEO Ryan Rose emphasized that the redesign serves both aesthetic and financial objectives, noting that the company also reduced initial inventory requirements by roughly one-third. While all new locations will adopt this standard, existing owners are offered optional retrofit packages to integrate the new look. With 65 locations currently operating across 20 states, this pivot reflects a broader effort to standardize the brand’s physical presence while providing owners with a more capital-efficient path to expansion.
