KEENON Robotics Unveils Collaborative Humanoid Strategy at WAIC 2026

At the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference in Shanghai, KEENON Robotics moved beyond single-form automation to debut a hybrid model. The company, which led global commercial service robot shipments in 2025 according to IDC, is now integrating humanoids with specialized machines to manage complex end-to-end service workflows.

KEENON Robotics Unveils Collaborative Humanoid Strategy at WAIC 2026

The company’s strategy centers on role-based division of labor. At the WAIC booth, a hotel laundry demonstration illustrates this balance: humanoid units handle delicate manual tasks like operating washing machines and folding garments, while the DINERBOT T9 manages high-frequency delivery logistics. This functional pairing aims to standardize embodied intelligence within real-world environments.

KEENON is applying this same logic to retail and food service. The XMAN-R1 humanoid handles front-of-house interactions and object-oriented tasks, such as drink preparation in collaboration with NOWWA Coffee. These deployments rely entirely on autonomous performance, stripping away the need for teleoperation. By combining these capabilities, KEENON seeks to bridge the gap between specialized delivery robots and the flexible interaction required for complex service scenarios.

With over 100,000 robots currently active in 70 countries, the company is moving to scale these mixed-fleet operations. Current implementations already span major brands including Hilton, Burger King, and BMW. At Shangri-La’s Trader Hotel, a fleet of eight robots across six categories has established a blueprint for the intelligent, multi-robot facility, proving that humanoids and specialized units can coexist as a unified workforce rather than competing technologies.
