Global Buyer Interest Surges 25% Ahead of October Hong Kong Sourcing Shows

The two-phase exhibition at AsiaWorld-Expo, running from October 11 to 21, will feature over 4,200 suppliers across 8,000 booths. Organizers are positioning the event as a solution to lengthening procurement cycles, offering a centralized platform to evaluate 330,000 new products ranging from gaming peripherals to AI-integrated hardware.

Phase 1 focuses on the convergence of office and gaming setups, mirroring a market that analysts expect to grow to $52.4 billion by 2031. Beyond hardware, the event addresses tightening export compliance, specifically the EU's incoming Digital Product Passport requirements. Suppliers in the power and charging sectors will demonstrate data traceability tools to help buyers mitigate customs and certification risks early in the sourcing process.

The second phase pivots to the practical deployment of artificial intelligence and the circular economy. With Tencent AI making its debut, the show moves beyond conceptual demonstrations to showcase mass-production capabilities for AI-integrated devices. Concurrently, the introduction of the Global Mobile Communications & Electronics Trade Pavilion marks a shift toward formalizing the used electronics market, connecting buyers with certified providers who meet international recycling standards. As global importers finalize year-end stocking, the event serves as a primary indicator of how Asian manufacturers are aligning with 2027 regulatory and technological demands.
