The Vermilion Mask Sets October Premiere with New Trailer and Cast

The narrative centers on Peru d'Arrest, a man burdened by the memory of killing his own master while under the influence of the Mask of the Warrior God. Now traveling to dismantle the remaining artifacts, Peru faces a world where masks grant both immense power and devastating misfortune. The newly released footage highlights the series' core conflict, featuring intense battle sequences and a glimpse into the internal struggles of the protagonist.

Taihi Kimura, recently cast as the lead in Kagurabachi, voices Peru, leading an ensemble that includes Yuuki Yamamoto as the princess Sonarue Maywood and Takanori Hoshino as the formidable ruler Gouon. The production, helmed by director Tetsuaki Watanabe at One Double-O studio, features veteran voice talent including Akio Otsuka as the Mask of the Warrior God and Kazuhiko Inoue as the legendary craftsman Gaston. With eight volumes of the original manga already in circulation, the anime aims to capture the series' themes of atonement and the heavy cost of wielding forbidden strength.
