The leadership shuffle centers on consolidating product development and commercial growth. Alex Ursa, the company's first employee, will shift his focus to overseeing operations and the buildout of the brand's unified wallet experience. His background includes an eight-year tenure at Flutter and a senior role at FanDuel, providing the experience needed to manage the firm's transition into complex prediction markets later this year.
Alex Kuwada moves from a growth-focused role to CMO, tasked with refining acquisition and VIP retention strategies. Having spent six years at FanDuel before joining Betr two years ago, Kuwada is credited with stabilizing the company’s unit economics. Meanwhile, Mike Denevi, the firm's second hire, assumes the role of Chief Content Officer. He will continue to lead the brand strategy that has established Betr as a dominant social media presence in the real money gaming sector, building on his previous decade-long tenure at Bleacher Report.
Founder and CEO Joey Levy emphasized the internal nature of these appointments, noting that these executives have been instrumental in the company’s evolution since 2022. Betr currently reports one million paying users and operates across multiple gaming verticals, including Picks and Social Sportsbook. The company plans to integrate its upcoming prediction markets into the existing single-app ecosystem, a move aimed at maintaining its status as a high-growth player in the regulated gaming industry.
