The collaboration leverages Ribo’s expertise in RNA interference technology alongside Madrigal’s established clinical footprint in liver disease. By combining Ribo’s siRNA discovery platform with Madrigal's specialized knowledge, the team aims to address the significant medical gap for patients suffering from MASH, a condition currently lacking sufficient therapeutic options.
Li-Ming Gan, co-CEO and Global R&D President at Ribo, noted that the rapid progress of the joint program reflects the complementary nature of the two firms. Moving forward, the partnership will focus on accelerating the development of the nominated candidate. This project represents a broader effort to expand the therapeutic landscape for liver-directed treatments, potentially providing new interventions for a global patient population.
