The expansion introduces Gen. 2 kiosks to these high-traffic locations, offering both the updated USB-C FuelRod Kit and the high-capacity MAX10 charger. The latter features 10,000mAh of power, wireless charging capabilities, and MagSafe compatibility. By integrating into the company's nationwide network, these stations allow users to exchange spent units for fully charged replacements, eliminating the need to hunt for wall outlets or return to vehicles.
Brenda Castillo Sanchez, senior manager of visitor services at Balboa Park, noted that the service directly benefits guests by providing immediate access to power throughout their visit. For the USS Midway Museum, which hosts over a million guests annually, the technology serves as a practical tool for those managing interactive exhibits and flight deck tours via mobile devices. Users can track kiosk locations in real time through the FuelRod app or the company’s official website.
