The Pasadena-based real estate firm, a long-time backer of the National Medal of Honor Museum Foundation, sees this collaboration as a core pillar of its corporate responsibility strategy. Joel S. Marcus, the founder and executive chairman of Alexandria, has served on the foundation’s board since 2020, helping guide the development of the Arlington, Texas, facility. Opened in March 2025, the 100,000-square-foot site was recently named "Best New Museum" by USA Today readers.
Christopher J. Cassidy, a retired U.S. Navy SEAL, NASA astronaut, and former head of the foundation, credited the developer’s involvement as essential to the project's success. The museum dedicates 31,000 square feet to immersive galleries detailing the lives of recipients whose actions in combat defined the nation’s history. For Alexandria, which manages life science innovation clusters across the country, the partnership serves as a bridge between its commercial interests and a broader mandate to support leadership and community-building initiatives.
