Copper Intelligence Confirms Mineralization at Butembo Project

A second borehole at the Butembo Copper Project in the Democratic Republic of Congo has intersected copper mineralization 100 meters from the initial discovery site. The findings suggest the site possesses a mineralized system extending both laterally and at depth, moving beyond the isolated results of the company's first drill.

The latest step-out hole, BCDD002, yielded two distinct zones of mineralization: a 3-meter interval grading 0.24% copper near the surface and a more concentrated 3-meter section at 1.89% copper beginning at 19.7 meters depth. These figures follow the project's initial success at borehole BCDD001, which returned 7.55 meters of mineralization at a 5.96% grade.

Copper Intelligence management views the continuity confirmed by this second hole as a validation of the site's scale potential. While these preliminary assessments rely on on-site handheld XRF analysis of pulverized half-cores, the company has initiated the process of submitting samples to accredited laboratories for formal assay verification. Drilling remains active at the site, with current efforts targeting depths of at least 100 meters to further define the extent of the mineralized footprint.
