The 90-minute broadcast, airing at 8:00 p.m. E.T. on public television, serves as a centerpiece for the country's Semiquincentennial festivities. Ribeiro, who returns to lead the holiday tradition, noted that this year’s program aims to unify families through a blend of musical performances and patriotic honors. The concert will be available to stream on YouTube and PBS platforms through July 17.
Musical headliners include Chicago, Patti LaBelle, Trace Adkins, and Kool & The Gang. The National Symphony Orchestra, directed by Jack Everly, will provide the score for the event, which also includes a segment honoring the Artemis II crew, presented by Gary Sinise. Additional highlights feature a salute to Team USA Olympic athletes and a performance of the 1812 Overture, complete with live cannon fire from the U.S. Army Presidential Salute Battery.
