PharmaResearch Targets U.S. Market Growth with CG USA Acquisition

South Korean regenerative medicine firm PharmaResearch has signed a definitive agreement to acquire California-based Cosmetic Group USA. The move secures a domestic manufacturing hub for the REJURAN cosmetics brand, shifting production away from its reliance on South Korean imports to meet rising demand across North and South America.

PharmaResearch Targets U.S. Market Growth with CG USA Acquisition

The acquisition of CG USA provides PharmaResearch with an FDA-registered facility that adheres to current good manufacturing practice (cGMP) standards. By integrating these local capabilities, the company aims to stabilize its supply chain for Sephora and Amazon distribution channels. Beyond standard cosmetics, the California facility offers infrastructure for over-the-counter (OTC) product development, which CEO Ji Hoon Sohn identified as a key factor for long-term expansion in the region.

PharmaResearch plans to use this new foundation to accelerate its market penetration, with a specific focus on entering Canada in the second half of 2026. While the financial terms of the deal remain undisclosed, the integration of CG USA’s product planning, filling, and packaging services is intended to bolster the global competitiveness of the REJURAN brand. Cosmo Group Inc. served as the advisor for the transaction.
