Hawaiian Airlines launches oneworld livery featuring ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi

Beneath the iconic Pualani emblem, a new Airbus A330 livery now carries the message "Aloha a puni ka honua"—Aloha all around the world—across the Pacific. The design marks Hawaiian Airlines' formal entry into the oneworld alliance, signaling a shift toward expanded global connectivity for the 96-year-old carrier.

The widebody aircraft, unveiled at the Charles I. Elliott Maintenance and Cargo Facility in Honolulu, retains the airline’s signature maile lei fuselage wrap. According to Alisa Onishi, managing director of Hawaiʻi marketing, the inclusion of the Hawaiian language serves as a deliberate effort to preserve cultural heritage while introducing the airline's values to a broader international audience. To mark the occasion, the carrier presented $10,000 donations to both the ʻIolani Palace and the Polynesian Voyaging Society.

This integration into the oneworld network allows members of the combined Atmos Rewards loyalty program—including participants in Huakaʻi by Hawaiian—to earn and redeem points across 15 partner airlines. Travelers now gain access to nearly 700 premium lounges worldwide and reciprocal elite status benefits, such as priority boarding, extra baggage allowances, and expedited security. By aligning with the alliance’s global footprint, the airline aims to simplify travel to the islands while offering a standardized service experience across destinations spanning Asia, Europe, and the Americas.
