A young boy gifted with the ability to see sound will take center stage in 2027 as the manga The Bugle Call: Song of War transitions to the screen. The studio’s inaugural production brings the popular Jump SQ series by Sora Mozuku and Higoro Tomori to life. Director Shinya Watada will oversee the project, supported by series composer Michihiro Tsuchiya and character designer Michinori Chiba. To capture the story's high-stakes combat, the production team tapped visual effects house Shirogumi to handle CG sequences, ensuring the technical weight matches the narrative’s intense scale.

Central to the adaptation is the auditory experience. Composer Hitomi Koto, known for her work on Sparks of Tomorrow, is integrating live instrumentation to mirror the protagonist Luca’s unique sensory perception. The narrative follows Luca, a bugler in a mercenary company who dreams of a life in music until his latent powers awaken during the conflict of Arboral Year 1294. A four-minute teaser trailer released alongside the announcement offers a glimpse into this world, showcasing the interplay between Luca’s musical aspirations and the brutal realities of his battlefield environment.
