The transition away from carrier-led support programs leaves many resorts and convention centers responsible for maintaining complex wireless networks they were never intended to manage. This shift creates immediate risks for guest experiences, ranging from failed mobile check-ins to interrupted digital room access.
John Bramfeld, senior director of in-building wireless solutions at MCA, argues that losing carrier signal sources does not necessitate a total system replacement. Instead, the company’s new offering aims to extend the lifecycle of current investments by providing proactive monitoring, technical repairs, and signal source management. By offloading this burden to MCA, hospitality IT teams can maintain reliable cellular coverage while avoiding the capital expense of a premature system-wide upgrade.
