Lytx Expands Fleet Management Platform with AI and Privacy Controls

San Diego-based Lytx is scaling its LytxOne fleet management platform with a suite of new capabilities designed to consolidate safety, compliance, and asset tracking. By integrating AI-driven tools with granular privacy settings, the company aims to help fleet operators reduce risk while streamlining complex administrative workflows in a single interface.

Lytx Expands Fleet Management Platform with AI and Privacy Controls

The latest updates introduce a Fleet AI Assistant, which allows managers to query data regarding vehicle maintenance, safety events, and compliance using natural language. To address growing privacy concerns, Lytx has added configurable controls that enable users to disable road-facing cameras based on specific geofences or schedules, alongside a risk detection feature that identifies incidents without triggering video recording. These tools are designed to balance operational visibility with driver trust.

Beyond safety, the platform now provides deeper asset intelligence. New trackers offer real-time visibility for trailers and equipment, while proximity search features assist dispatchers in identifying the nearest available vehicles. The company has also automated IFTA reporting and integrated DVIR and mileage tracking to minimize manual data entry. According to CEO Chris Cabrera, the goal is to shift the industry toward a unified model where safety and compliance data directly inform operational decision-making. The company has begun migrating its existing DriveCam and Lytx+ customers to these integrated workflows, with the full suite now available through direct sales and reseller partners.
