New Project Media Targets Asia-Pacific Renewable and Data Center Markets

Princeton-based New Project Media is expanding its intelligence and data operations into the Asia-Pacific region, targeting core markets including Australia, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and Southeast Asia to track the complex intersection of renewable energy development, grid dynamics, and the rapidly growing data center sector.

The expansion introduces an integrated intelligence model that monitors power market activity, regulatory shifts, project financing, and M&A trends across the region. To spearhead the effort, the firm appointed Shaun Drummond, formerly the APAC Managing Editor at Infralogic, to lead the editorial strategy and manage the regional journalist team.

This move follows a series of strategic growth milestones for the company, which began with North American utility-scale offerings in 2020 and expanded into Europe through the acquisition of Energy Rev. By bundling renewable energy data with data center infrastructure intelligence, the platform aims to provide investors and operators with granular visibility into one of the world's most fragmented power markets. According to CEO Ken Meehan, the launch marks the firm’s transition into a truly global intelligence provider, while Chief Commercial Officer Brett Birman noted that the decision was driven by client demand for consistent, early-stage insights in a region known for its operational complexity.
