By consolidating research and regulatory frameworks, ANSI intends to replace fragmented industry efforts with a cohesive strategy. Organizations interested in the initiative are currently invited to provide input through an open Request for Information, which will inform the upcoming policy discussions.
Beyond the September meeting, the project includes a series of technical webinars, with the next session scheduled for June 30. These briefings are designed to align U.S. stakeholders with international protocols, managed through a newly formed coordination group focused on ISO technical committees. As global competition for minerals intensifies, these standards provide the necessary transparency and traceability for U.S. companies to maintain market access and ensure the reliability of materials essential to national defense and advanced electronics.
