The Airport Community App integrates directly with the existing SkyCore AODB infrastructure, providing ground staff and authorities with immediate updates on gate assignments, aircraft stands, and flight status changes. By shifting this data to mobile devices, the operator seeks to reduce response times and improve synchronization across the airport's diverse ecosystem. Yannis Gerault, Director of the Southern Airports Cluster, noted that the platform is designed to foster more agile coordination among the thousands of professionals who keep the facility running daily.
Following a series of face-to-face demonstrations and a formal launch event for airline partners, the current rollout focuses on core flight information. AERODOM plans to evaluate additional functional modules as user adoption increases. This technology, already active in over 100 airports globally, reinforces the company's broader digital strategy to enhance service quality across its six-airport network in the Dominican Republic.
