Moxa Secures Saudi Energy Prequalification for Power Infrastructure

After a grueling series of third-party laboratory tests and factory audits, Taipei-based Moxa has earned a spot on Saudi Energy’s List of Technically Acceptable Manufacturers. The approval clears the company to supply ruggedized switches, firewalls, and industrial computers for critical grid modernization projects across the kingdom.

This qualification allows Moxa to integrate its hardware into Saudi Arabia’s expanding power infrastructure, specifically targeting substation automation and advanced metering deployments. The company aims to leverage its global track record in migrating legacy utility systems to support the region’s massive surge in energy demand, driven largely by new AI data centers and giga-scale infrastructure developments.

The certification process was comprehensive, requiring proof-of-concept testing in the presence of Saudi Energy officials to ensure the equipment could withstand the specific environmental and security demands of the Middle Eastern market. By gaining entry to the LOTAM registry, Moxa positions itself as a primary vendor for the Saudi Electricity Company and the National Grid, signaling a significant expansion of its footprint in the regional energy sector.
