The collaboration marks a shift from controlled laboratory environments to active hospitality settings. YYForce will deploy specialized robots to handle guest deliveries, food and beverage transport, and public area cleaning. By offloading these repetitive, physically demanding tasks, the management hopes to allow staff—known as Heartists—to dedicate more time to direct guest interaction. Initial projections suggest a 10% reduction in monthly operating costs for the specific departments involved in the pilot.
Beyond immediate efficiency gains, the initiative serves as a research platform for YYForce’s 2030 Vision. A second phase will focus on observing human workflows to refine the software and hardware of future humanoid robots. According to YYForce CEO Mike Fu, this real-world feedback is essential for developing machines capable of handling complex tasks like housekeeping. While the robots will operate alongside personnel, the company emphasized that the research remains in the developmental stage, with no current plans for independent humanoid operation in occupied guest rooms.
